Len and Vani’s place was magical. It is a tropical oasis with views over a lush bowl of vegetation and surrounding mountains. The bird watching has 2 showings a day We made sure to catch them all with binoculars and coffee/smoothie in hand. The road that leads to the house is walkable and offers other wildlife viewing opportunities, especially close to sunrise and sunset. The outdoor kitchen was very well equipped, and we spent most of our time on the lanai, where we could not keep our eyes off the view. The pool was beautiful… perfect for cooling off and interacting with our hosts. 

This space has truly taken a huge piece of our hearts. From start to finish, Vani and Len’s hospitality, communication, and thoughtful recommendations were absolutely everything. They made us feel so welcomed.

We completely fell in love with Casa Caracara, the breathtaking views, the surrounding mountains, the peaceful sounds of birds chirping, and waking up to toucans in the morning. It’s the perfect place to slow down, relax your mind and body, and truly feed your soul.

Casa Caracara has become my happy place, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you, Vani and Len, for the wonderful conversations and for sharing your magical oasis with us. We can’t wait to return.

The experience of living for a few days in Len and Vani's house was truly magical. In addition to the paradise where they live, very difficult to explain in words, I met an incredible couple who made me understand how I have to live my life.

It's hard to put in words just how good our experience has been staying in Casa Colibrí. The place and the views are spectacular. The hosts were excellent in every way. The level of hospitality was beyond our expectations, both in general and in the minor details. You can see they love sharing Casa Colibrí with their guests. We are looking forward to visiting again ASAP.
PS. The pool and hot tub are amazing any time of the day, but priceless at sunset.

We were a bit unsure how we would feel about the kitchen and living area being fully outdoors, but it was wonderful and very comfortable. It was incredible to wake up and see the incredible view and amazing birds right from the bed. Len and Vani are wonderful, super kind, responsive, and happy to help with anything. We stayed for 3 nights and were disappointed we didn’t stay for longer. Highly recommend - especially if you are a birder.

Casa Colibrí far exceeded our expectations. Len & Vani are incredible hosts and super rad people. It's evident how much love and care they put into this place. The views, nature, hot tub & pool, outdoor kitchen & shower, are all pure magic. The dogs were so nice to have around from time to time. We felt incredibly at home and at peace. We also really appreciated that Len & Vani had so many recommendations around the area for various needs. Thank you guys so much, we loved our stay at this little slice of paradise and will absolutely return in the future!

We had a marvelous family trip to Costa Rica and Len and Vani‘s place was one of the clear highlights. Entering their property, we were immediately awed by the impressive view of the tropical rainforest. We stayed in a separate studio on the property that was new, comfy and well maintained. Len and Vani are warm, friendly and helpful hosts that allow visitors to use their lovely pool and jacuzzi (especially spectacular at sunset!). We hope to be back sometime…

Blue Morphos. Twp Toucans sitting atop the tree by the swimming pool. An ever changing verdant vista. Helliconias surrounding my patio. Endless bird songs. And the most comfortable well equipped casa. I even made chicken soup in the instapot. Everything was new, spotless and comfortable. Vani and Len were the most welcoming and kindest hosts. I’ll be back next December.
