Wildlife Sanctuary

Nauyaca
This area’s most popular waterfall tour. Nauyaca’s swimming hole and waterfall are stunningly beautiful, but often you will be sharing the experience with many others. You will be driven to the falls in an open air truck with bench seats in the back. Trips leave every hour, on the hour from 7am to 1pm. For the more ambitious, hike to the falls very early in the day to have a more private experience.

Catarata Eco Chontales
20 minute hike on a clean, well-maintained trail with rails and steps on the steep parts. Beautiful spot. There is a restaurant down near the falls that serves typical local food, or bring a picnic. This is our favorite waterfall because it is so beautiful and not over-crowded. Also there is a high dive, if you are a dare devil.

ATV Jungle Tour
Ride off-road over several idyllic mountain ranges. You will cross trickling streams, drive past coffee and banana plantations and a small village. Your tour will bring you to the massive San Luis waterfall. Drivers must be 16 or older.

Hidden Hot Springs
They are not hot, they are warm, but they are very nice and full of beneficial minerals. The family who owns the land has kept the natural beauty of the pools, but maintain the ph levels and cleanliness of the water. This is a place to deeply relax. There is also a river alongside the pools that you can slide in, if the water levels aren’t too high.
