Los Cusingos is the former home of Dr. Alexander Skutch, one of the world’s most famous ornithologists and co-author of the premiere birding book, “A Guide to the Birds of Costa Rica”. You can hire guides on-site or just walk the well-maintained trails to spot turquoise cotingas, honeycreepers, and manakins and over 300 bird species, including rare species like the white-crested coquette.
