Off-road ATV Adventure

Your journey begins through Plantations, Colorful Costa Rican Villages, Rivers, & Creeks. The path will take you to a lush Private Nature Reserve where you will take a short hike on a trail to explore the forest where you will see beautiful waterfalls and walk over some hanging bridges.  At the end of the trail, a refreshing Natural Swimming Hole awaits.

Catarata Nauyaca

Nauyaca is one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular waterfalls.  It features two main cascades; an upper fall and a dramatic lower fall that plunges 150 feet into a wide pool.  The site is set in a lush tropical rainforest with striking swimming spots, cliff jumping and excellent photo opportunities.  You will be driven to the falls in an open air truck with bench seats in the back.  Trips leave every hour, on the hour from 7am to 1pm.  For the more ambitious, hike to the falls very early in the day to have a more private experience.

Catarata Eco Chontales

Eco Chontales Waterfall in Costa Rica surrounded by tropical rainforest

This is our favorite waterfall because it is so beautiful and not over-crowded.  Take a 20 minute hike on a clean, well-maintained trail with rails and steps on the steep parts.  The is a restaurant near the falls that serves typical local food, or bring a picnic. There is a high dive there also, for the thrill-seekers among us.
