My partner and I stayed here to finish our trip and would 100% recommend! If a peaceful oasis with amazing views, sounds of nature, spotting of wildlife, and great company is what you seek - this is the place for you. We spotted many toucans and birds we’ve never seen before, had a visit from their adorable dog Reina, and met some new friends!Len & Vani were great hosts. We love to talk to locals and hear their stories, and Len and Vani shared theirs which you have to hear. Before we left, we got to hear them play guitar and sing. Ace Angela164 days agoIt was an amazing beautiful and peaceful place to stay! I personally would reccomend a 4x4 just for a peace of mind and take tolls if you don’t want to go through the mountain! Len and Vani were so helpful when it came to anything we needed as well as the reccomendations that were UNLIMITED. They have a great guidebook with all types of reccomendations and they also are so sweet to talk to. The location was beautiful and close to multiple waterfalls that took our breath away. They have a beautiful pool and hot tub that was relaxing to be in weather it was day or night and we loved their sweet pups. The room was clean and comfortable to sleep in and it was anazing to wake up to the natural sunrise, we hope to come back soon!Posted on Airbnb
Jacob168 days agoOur stay at the Platanillo Villa was unforgettable, and it had everything to do with Len and Bonnie. What started as a beautiful stay turned into something truly special when we got stuck on a mountain road leaving Eco Chontales. Len and Bonnie didn’t hesitate. They came out and with the help of local Ticos they pulled us out. Absolute lifesavers.After that, we spent the evening in the hot tub and pool talking for hours. They are some of the most genuine, kind, and interesting people we’ve ever met. Hearing about their life and what they’ve done in their lives was honestly inspiring. Len you are my hero.The villa itself is amazing, but it’s the people who make it unforgettable. If you’re considering staying here, do it. You won’t just get a place to stay you’ll get an experience. Lisa171 days agoWe had a wonderful stay at Len! The accommodation boasts a breathtaking view and a pleasantly quiet location – perfect for unwinding and relaxing. A particular highlight for us was the dog Reina, who was always by our side and made us feel right at home.Len and his wife Vani, are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts who made us feel instantly at ease. The pool was also fantastic and offered a stunning view. The sunsets there are truly unforgettable!Everything was spotlessly clean and impeccably maintained. Taylor181 days agoMost reviews are mainly about the home itself, but this one is half the home and half the hosts. We came to Dominical expecting it to just be a stop along the way, but it ended up being our favorite stop on our honeymoon road trip. The property is absolutely stunning. Before we met Len and Vani, we noted to ourselves how intentional the property design, Airbnb, everything felt. Our first morning there, we enjoyed great birdwatching from the balcony, and then ventured around their very large orchard to pick fruit and explore. We then met Len, Vani, and their gardener and it felt like we met old friends. They are extremely kind, curious to get to know you, and shared our love for nature and adventure. They gave us a great food and waterfall recommendation that became some of our top highlights. Len and Vani are great company, great hosts, and truly exude the “pura vida” vibe of Costa Rica. Vann184 days agoMy wife and I had the most amazing 5 night stay at Casa Caracara. The home was spotless and stocked with anything we could have possibly needed during our stay. The views were absolutely breathtaking—the pictures on the listing really don’t do it justice! We loved waking up to the call of countless birds and winding the day down with gorgeous sunsets seen from the pool.Len and Vani were wonderful hosts—great communication, incredibly kind and offered fantastic recommendations for both local excursions and food options. El lugar se siente mágico, rodeado de naturaleza por todos lados, con una paz y una energía hermosa que invitan a descansar y disfrutar cada momento. Despertar con ese ambiente tan tranquilo fue algo inolvidable. Además, tener la playa a solo 30 minutos lo hace aún más perfecto, porque pudimos combinar la serenidad de la naturaleza con una escapada al mar. Alisson194 days agoLen and Vani were the friendliest hosts I've met. From the very beginning they welcomed us and it felt like home. I had the best time! The place was perfect, the view? Breathtaking, the atmosphere was positive and serene, and they were very attentive. Truly the perfect place to stay at if you want tranquility! The house was very vibrant, open, and clean. Reina (their dog) was also an amazing special guest, she came by the place many times! Such a sweet dog, we love her! Fuimos con mi pareja una semana a hacer trabajo remoto desde allí y nos lamentamos no quedarnos más tiempo para descansar o continuar con nuestros labores. La casa y las vistas son mejores que las fotos. El predio es enorme y las vistas a las montañas y la vegetación del complejo son inigualables, sorprendentes día a día. Se respira tranquilidad, el color natural te conecta con la belleza y pureza de la naturaleza. Los anfitriones Len y Vani son una pareja maravillosa, siempre atenta a que tu experiencia esté lo mejor posible. Muy amigables y amables. Justa211 days agoGeweldige ervaring! De weg ernaartoe is al prachtig en dan kom je aan op zo'n schone, verzorgde plek met prachtig uitzicht en vriendelijke hosts. Er valt meteen een aangenaame rust over je heen waardoor je niet meer weg wilt. Als je toch op avontuur wilt is de dichtbijzijnde waterval de moeite van het bezoekers waard omdat je er heel lekker kunt zwemmen midden in de natuur.Posted on Airbnb

Nicole224 days agoCasa Colibrí far exceeded our expectations. Len & Vani are incredible hosts and super rad people. It's evident how much love and care they put into this place. The views, nature, hot tub & pool, outdoor kitchen & shower, are all pure magic. The dogs were so nice to have around from time to time. We felt incredibly at home and at peace. We also really appreciated that Len & Vani had so many recommendations around the area for various needs. Alex251 days agoWe had an excellent stay; truly a slice of paradise, and a highlight of our vacation! The hosts, Len and Vani, were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like family. They were very responsive to any needs we had, and connecting with them made the whole experience so fulfilling. The villa offers an incredible view for birdwatching, so bring a scope. The space is clean, modern, and beautifully built and maintained; though the footprint is not large, the thoughtful design makes the space ample for 2 and a younger child. The kitchen is of high quality, with good cookware and sharp knives. Washer/dryer on lower level very convenient. The saltwater pool and hot tub are superb, with a stunning garden setting and expansive view of the mountain valley; they can be used from morning to evening, with a heads-up for hot tub heating, and are shared with the hosts’ residence and another guesthouse on the property. The location was so peaceful and beautiful, watching the hummingbirds and the birds and listening to the sounds of nature while enjoying the outdoor kitchen was top-notch. John301 days agoLen and Voni’s place was magical. It is a tropical oasis with views over a lush bowl of vegetation and surrounding mountains. The bird watching has 2 showings a day: 5:15-7:00 a.m and 15:30- sunset. We made sure to catch them all with binoculars and coffee/smoothie in hand. The road that leads to the house is walkable and offers other wildlife viewing opportunities, especially close to sunrise and sunset. The outdoor kitchen was very well equipped, and we spent most of our time on the lanai, where we could not keep our eyes off the view. The pool was beautiful… perfect for cooling off and interacting with our hosts. Many beautiful beaches are a 25-30 minute drive away. Nightlife, aside from a few critter sounds, is non-existent, which is just the way we like it. A few times during our week-long stay noise from the modern world (namely power tools in use down the road) broke the spell of the natural world, but overall a great place for a Costa Rican pura vida retreat.Posted on Airbnb
Jim312 days agoHard to put in words just how good our experience has been staying in Casa Colibrí. The place and the views are spectacular. The hosts were excellent in every way. The level of hospitality was beyond our expectations, both in general and in the minor details. You can see they love sharing Casa Colibrí with their guests. Jill450 days agoWe were a bit unsure how we would feel about the kitchen and living area being fully outdoors, but it was wonderful and very comfortable. It was incredible to wake up and see the incredible view and amazing birds right from the bed. Noise travels from the main house a bit, but Len and Vani are wonderful, super kind, responsive, and happy to help with anything. We stayed for 3 nights and were disappointed we didn’t stay for longer. Highly recommend - especially if you are a birder.Posted on Airbnb

Elliot557 days agoLen and his wife Vani were fabulous hosts. They live next door and greeted us on arrival. The space is so inspiring. Over a decade of love and creativity has been poured into the space which you can feel in every aspect of the home. The views, floral, and fauna are incredible. We found the surroundings to be quiet, beautiful, and all around stunning!Len and Vani are also such sweet hosts! Jessica568 days agoLen and Vani’s place was such a dream to stay at, absolute paradise. The house looked exactly as pictured and was very clean. It was great to be able to relax in the hot tub and pool and we loved waking up to the sounds of the jungle each day. They also have the two sweetest dogs, and their pup Reina always lovingly greeted us whenever we would return from our daily adventures. Communication was excellent.
